To make their platforms much more interactive and increase usage, most social media platforms have introduced what is known as the live feature where users can broadcast themselves in real-time for their followers to watch and follow and TikTok is not an exception.
In 2019, the TikTok LIVE feature was made with content creators, celebrities and generally users with large following in mind. This does not mean that it is exclusive to that list, no. So long as you have a TikTok account, you can go live on TikTok regardless of the type of account you have or the number of followers you possess.
There are endless possibilities to what you can do when you go live on purpose. It could be an interactive session between you and your followers and other viewers where they ask you questions and you answer, like a video call but with multiple people.
You could choose to stream a game or just show a part of your day-to-day life. You might also have a big announcement for your followers which you feel will have more impact if it is done on live rather than in a normal post.
When it comes to TikTok lives, there are only two parties involved; the user who is broadcasting live and the people who are watching.
When it comes to TikTok lives, anyone at all can watch your live stream videos and you can also watch anyone’s live stream video only if you are online when the broadcast is happening. (The only exception to this is if you are blocked. Then you won’t be able to see their live and neither will they be able to see yours).
